SWINE FLU TRANSMISSION

Swine flue is transmitted same as the other flu. Its symptoms are also similar. Cough, cold, fever are the general symptoms. If a person is suffering from the flu should be treated as soon as possible. If you suspect that you are near to anybody suffering from the flu then you should go away from him or need to wear a face mask. People should follow basic precautions to prevent the spread of any respiratory disease. Transmission of the flu virus is due to the pig. If transmission does cause in the human, it is called as the zoonotic. People with regular exposure to pig are at high risk of swine flu infection.

The main route of transmission is through direct contact infected and uninfected animals. These close contacts are particularly common during animal transport. Intensive farming may also increase the risk of transmission. People who work with poultry and swine, especially people with intense exposure, are at high risk of zoonotic infection. The direct transfer of the virus occurs either by pigs touching noses, or through dried mucus. The virus spreads quickly from the infected persons. Transmission may also occur through wild animals.

Prevention of the swine flu has three components: prevention in swine, prevention of transmission to humans, and prevention of its spread among humans.
The patients should be advised if they have kids and they are sick, they should keep them away from school. Patients must consult to there doctor’s about their illness. The face masks are very effective in preventing transmission of swine flu. People should be very careful while close contact with the people because this may cause the flu infection soon. Face masks should be considered for use by individuals who are usually in the crowed, both to protect their nose and mouth from other people’s cough. Transmission can be reduced by taking the useful precautions like washing their hands regularly from warm water n soap, avoiding close contact with the people’s outside etc. if someone in the home is sick, people should take the extra precautions to keep others in the house from getting sick. Thoroughly wash linens, eating utensils, and dishes belonging to those who are sick before reusing. And people shouldn't forget to wash their hands when done cleaning.
Health providers should advise their patients to make decisions about what their relative risk is and to mention the best treatment. People should also follow the advise and guidance of the local, state and public health officials. Surfaces especially tables, surfaces in the bathroom must be kept clean by wiping them down disinfectant things. Thoroughly wash the eating utensils and dishes belonging to those who are sick before reusing. And people should not forget to wash their hands after cleaning is done. Respirators should be considered for use by individuals for whom close contact with an infection person is unavoidable. This can include selected individuals who must have a care of the sick person. Take as much precautions to be protective from the swine flu.
