ADVERTISEMENT

The term advertisement or in short word “Ad” is now becoming a upcoming source in the entertainment world or we can say that it has become a major role in this hi-tech world. So, in proper terms, we can define advertisement as a medium or source or a form of communication to sell products or services.

Advertisement has always been indicated as a fascinating world with lots of challenges and creativity. What you see through television or internet or hear through radio about selling the products or services is nothing but advertisement, which encourages the customers to buy/sell their products or services so that they could be benefited out of it. With the increase in productivity, in today’s world, advertisement does carry a good career option compared to the early centuries.

Advertisements are basically designed to enhance the utilization of those products and services by giving creative ideas and thoughts so that their products/services will be titled as a brand title. These advertisements are mostly placed by an advertising agency on behalf of the company or any firm.

To convey the advertisements message, there are many medium/sources where it can be delivered like television, radio, newspaper/magazines, cinema, hoardings in public places, internet, through your mail, mobile etc. Nowadays, this message is not only applicable to certain products but also it includes any sort of recruitments, election of different political parties, religious group or any public notice.

There are many types of advertisements which include the following:

Guerrilla ad - where a certain brand is shown in the entertainment field. For example, in the movie Krissh, the brand product Bournvita and Lays were shown in order to promote their sell.
Television commercials - Now this is the generally considered and also effective form of mass marketing which is being displayed in the television during their popular shows. Television ads consist of certain songs or jingles which attracts to the listeners.
Infomercials- The purpose of this advertisement is to create a desire so that the customers see the presentation which nearly carry the time length of that particular product/service and buy the product through the advertised toll-free telephone number or website. For e.g. Teleshopping

Before consumers noticed the advertisements, the market researchers have to know the targeted group and accordingly they have to plan the requirements so that their ideas will be creating an impact in the minds of the customers. So advertisements and marketing firms have used the psychological methods to sell their brands.

Nowadays, advertisements and media are becoming indistinct to each other that it has become a well-known partnership. Because of these dependencies, its impact on information and freedom of words is too difficult to obtain. Advertising has been categorized through five stages of development which are domestic, export, international, multi-national and global.

The key of success in advertisements is to identify the moment or ingredient of an ad then only the advertisements will be efficiently maximized in terms of economy as well as fame.
